Christmas Decoration Malls in KL / Klang Valley Comparison

0

Jingle bell Jingle bell ~ ~
Santa is Coming to Town ~ ~
Get ready for fun ~ ~

Every year, I will do mall hopping to look at all the Christmas deco ever since I reside in KL. Used to visit Singapore everyday since hometown is near but it seems a little too far for now.

Thus, let me compile a few mall Christmas decoration (credit to all the blogger below) before you head down to town!! My favourite will be listed below from the less to most (last one is officially my FAV for the year!)

Mid Valley

Fairy Tail Christmas theme. Very much fairy tale and warmth feeling. The favourite part is the santa photography time.

When I was there, it was so crowded that I could barely move around. The space is so small and que for the santa photo shooting is too long.

Tips: Go to Body Shop kiosk. The deco is superb and the Christmas tree in front of it is so nice for photo taking.

Sunway Pyramid

Hoopful Christmas theme. It looks more like a circus theme to me thou. Sunway got old wing and new wing. I personally prefer new wing.

Pavillion

Pavilion this year have Sesame Street themed Christmas! Lots of performance on stage and the entrance is so so GRAND. Full of red and shimmering Christmas tree awaiting :)

Tarzan experience @ Skytrex

0

Skytrex Adventure provides the first of its kind in Malaysia, a tree to tree ‘sky-trekking’ experience where one is able to have the experience of a lifetime to fly, swing, glide and dangle on the various aerial obstacles suspended above the lush tropical Malaysian Rainforest.

It is all about testing your agility, challenging your fear and pushing yourself to the limit.

Safety is prioritized where the Skytrex is constructed and managed in accordance with International Safety Standards. The instructors would thoroughly educate and train us on the use and operation of the safety equipments and flying fox gear before we head out to start our course.

Instructor on the move...

Training before heading for the thrill...

There will also be instructors stationed at more difficult obstacles to guide you along the way.

However, if one needs to withdraw from the activity, there are Chicken Exits for you to get off the circuit.

Speaking from experience, the Big Thrill circuit would require a lot of upper body strength and balancing, but fret not for those who doesn’t workout as myself, Big Thrill is definitely challenging but achievable.

The big action...*thrilling*

Looking forward to my Extreme Challenge experience one day. Nothing is impossible!
Skytrex has 2 parks: One in Taman Botani Negara Shah Alam, whilst another in Burau Bay Langkawi

There are 3 types of circuits

Little Adventure is more suitable for children, however must be accompanied by adult (max 2 children per adult)
Would recommend Big Thrill for 1st timer who doesn’t workout frequently.

Dragon Boating with KL Barbarians @ Marina Putrajaya, Presint 5

0

Thanks to my Kerang bffs. I had the opportunity to join the KL Barbarians' Introductory Workshop on 20 July 2014 at Marina Putrajaya, Presint 5.

The workshop starts at 9am and took approximately 3 hours, including briefing, warm-up, demonstration and practice on land, the real action and de-briefing.

Briefing session. Everybody seems concentrated...or day dreaming?

Warm-up session and practice. Everybody's looking good!

Off we go! Moving our “battle ship" the Dragon Boats to the water.

Our paddles keen and bright~~ Dip dip and swing them back~~

The real ACTION after much preparations.

Yeahoo!!! We've done it!

After race snack provided by the caring barbarians. LOL

Energetic jump despite the 'armbreaking' dragon boat racing

Gorgeous views at the Marina Putrajaya

The whole experience is remarkable and the value for money fee @ RM40/pax makes it even A.W.E.S.O.M.E!!

It's a must try at least once in a lifetime. You've got to experience it to feel the awesomeness. YOLO!

Terry Fox Run 2014 @ Taman Tasik Titiwangsa

0

The Terry Fox Run KL 2014 was held at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa on November 2, 2014.

Quite a huge crowd showed up and all were determined to support this cause even though it started raining during our warm up session. Thankfully, the sun shines once more right before the flag off.

It was a 2km loopt around the lake.

Scenery along the Titiwangsa lake.

Light breakfast and after run snacks/fruits and isotonic drinks were generously provided.

There were booths for children and to sell Terry Fox Run t-shirts too. Every cent contributed to the purchase of the t-shirts will be donated to CARIF (Cancer Research Initiatives Foundation).

Once again, let's continue his legacy and aim to cure cancer together!

“If you’ve given a dollar, you are part of the Marathon of Hope .”

“It took cancer to realize that being self-centered is not the way to live.
The answer is to try and help others.”
